Being part of Rotary is more than just giving back to the community by volunteering. It is also about you bringing your skills, experience and enthusiasm to help it thrive, whilst making some great friends along the way. Our clubs are friendly places which invite speakers from a wide range of backgrounds to share their knowledge, increasing your social and cultural understanding. Members also share a common interest in friendship and if you visit any of our clubs around Bangladesh you will immediately feel the sense of camaraderie and fun.
World peace is an idea of freedom, peace, and happiness among and within all nations and/or people. World peace is an idea of planetary non-violence by which nations willingly cooperate, either voluntarily or by virtue of a system of governance that prevents warfare.
Rotary international, Founded by Poul P. Herris in 1905 is working on World Peace and Sustainable Development of the society for last 110 years. Rotary International believes all people deserve the right to live in peace. There is far too much conflict in our homes, in our schools, in our workplaces and in our communities. Rotary International through its Peace Projects i.e. World Peace Conference, Rotary Peace Scholarships and other programs creates scope to learn from expert leaders in conflict prevention and resolution, become inspired and leave with immediate action plans to implement in our communities.
We, Rotary Club of Kushtia, upholding Rotary International’s agenda on ‘World Peace’. Our objective is to involve our future generation in big numbers to create a peaceful world. In this regard, we have taken an initiative of organizing an art competition followed by exhibition where their thoughts on ‘World Peace’ can be explored and the motto of Peace can be infused within them at the very beginning of their lives.
